Looking for just the intermediate rod for a 440/727 combination, 1968 - 71.
I recently installed an Edelbrock Performer RPM and pretty much immediately realized that the intermediate rod for the 383 would be too short. By just about an inch.
The intermediate rod is the rod which runs from the bell crank on the intake down the back of the engine to the transmission bell crank. I realize I could modify the rod I have but I would rather not.

Thank you FBBO!

Go Lokar! Get the bracket that works with both throttle and kick down cable. Pretty easy install. Set it tighten it down and drive it. I messed with kick down rod for a while, too long. Bought the cable and now it's set and is right where it should be.

A&A transmissions repops a lot of the linkage. aandatrans.com 317-831-5610

I've certainly considered Lokar/Bouchillon cables but prefer to keep the cars factory appearance.

I have checked their website and only saw Six Pack/Hemi complete linkage set-ups. I have not contacted them, however.
I'm holding out hope that someone on this site has the part I need. Worst case scenario is I cut and splice the rod I have.

That's what I'd do if all you need is an inch. Splice in a piece, grind it smooth and paint it. Good luck.

I had the same problem when I installed a RPM in my 64 wagon. I was using the original one piece rod linkage at that time and just welded in about 1" to the rod length, but later I just did not like the cobble up look that it had so I went out and bought the Lokar cable.

I certainly understand on staying original! Mine wasn't original when I bought it so I had no issues swapping out. I just wanted to give you an option on the Lokar in case. It really works great! Good luck with search!

I have some kick down linkage pieces if you can post a picture of the one you have and the measurements I'll see if I have what you need.

Excellent!
I'm really in no rush as the weather is turning but I'll try and remove it soon.
If you don't have the piece I'll be splicing the one I have.
