It's Heavy, now let's see how quick this big tub of fun is.

For sure the converter would help. The power numbers look low but the converter could be masking that. A friends 65 ran 12.0-12.1@ 107. Swapped the converter picked up to 11.70@ 113 , later 11.58@116. No change in the motor.

Yup, that's the situation. .. The right converter would likely make the car better all around.. but it also would pick it up enough to then be forced to slow it down to run the class I want to... it may eventualy come to that but I think I will give it a go in "bracket" mode as is with keeping the goal on being consistent.

Mr StationWagon (lol) ... I agree

PLUS: Some else to keep in mind.
When I was running my old motor (440" that ran 12.00 all day long at 112-113MPH.
No mater what my et was...my MPH never moved off of 112-113. I talked to lots of guys and the consensus of opinion that the car reached "top speed" well before the traps and regardless of the ET it wasnt going to go any faster because of a lower ET.
Do you jetting exercise (install bigger jets until it slows down and then go back to the previous jet setup) and then whatever the MPH is, it probably wont change even if you improved your 60", 330" 660", etc.
Just my experience

12.20's in a wagon on street tires and you drove it too the track . . . nuthin' to be ashamed of. Cool car man.

Well this chapter for me is done. Sold the Wagon to my cousin last week on Friday, we went out to the drags and he drove it to the third round before being eliminated. Loaded it up in the trailer and off it goes. Going to take some time off the car hobby thing... maybe I will be back maybe I won't. It's been fun.

Sold the ol' girl ?
Your cousin will have all the fun & expenses now...LOL

Just curious what did she ultimately end up running ?
& what changes did you make to get there ?
Best ET MPH or any different parts/tuning ? etc.

Good luck in what ever endeavors you choose...

How can anyone leave this hobby? You are kidding , right?
Doug

You never leave this hobby. It's a disease that hides for a moment in your life. It then creeps its way back slowly. You get that little burn when the little puke next to you in his stock mustang thinks he's fast. You think if I had my car I would spank his a**. Then it starts all over again!!!

Haha no kidding my dad sold his and now when ever I'm in the van with him he drives it like his he's in his old race car lol
