I have finally located and purchased a 440 (1970 block) for my 67 Coronet 440 along with a 727 transmission. My car has the original slant six and transmission but will now become the car of my dreams, (well, one of the cars in my dreams! Lol) after a complete restoration that begins after Xmas.

Good for you..I know it takes awhile for things to come together. What are your ideas and plans for it?

The engine has been rebuilt .030 and has 3500 Klm put on it since the rebuild. The engine has all the "good stuff" internally and puts out 450 + hp. I will install new carb ( not sure what ... Holly 750 cfm ?) electronic distributor and haven't decided if I'll keep the manifolds or go with headers. I have to repaint and dress the engine prior to install. I will be seeking options here and have plenty of time to decide.

The individual I purchased from has been building race engines and racing Mopars since the late 1960's. He still has his 1968 Cuda drag car that he raced in various parts of Canada and the U.S.. When I picked up the engine and transmission from him, I had A good look at the Cuda which was parked next the his 69 Road Runner. In an adjoining garage was his 68 all original GTX and a 1959 Imperial.
