just wondering how many people choose to use a correct 383 hp engine in their early B Bodies? I have a complete one for sale in the classified. I have a 67 Bel1 I am ready to drop an engine in, I can choose between this 383 and a 72 400. it will just be a fun driver.

My '65 has a 440 in it, definitely not original to the car.
The fender tag shows it had a 318 in it and the car was blue, with a blue bench - not going back to that now. LOL

Mine is like BBishere2. Originally gold with white vinyl top and interior. 68 era 440 with unknown internals. I don't think you can go wrong with either engine, but I'm just a novice.

i h ave 4 cast date 383 hp complete engine, looks like few people out there w anting a correct engine for these models.

I was interested until I saw the pictures. That is not a complete engine. You need to post the pictures you sent me in the classified section so people are not fooled. Looks like it went through the 72 flood. And then used for a demo derby Anker.
Sorry to burst your bubble but that is a miss leading ad.

WOW! not sure what you are looking at, this engine is complete long block, I pulled the carb off and sent you also a pic of that. NO exh man. or eng brackets . around here those items are generally NOT included with an engine core, running engine MAYBE.
in your last mail to be you complained because I never steamed cleaned it. an original engine that has sat with all its grease and glory. a rebuildable engine, carb to pan $300!? worth that even in Missouri! ha
thru a flood? what the heck are you talking about!? misleading ad! wow you really irritate me!!!!!! sorry for your bother. I am no novice sorry BUD.

Post the pictures and lets see what the other members think. BUD

yep, whats looks like to me an original never apart greasy dirty 383 hp engine, CORE? ever apart and rebuilt? that I doubt. worth $300? yep to me, especially with the carb. looks like a boat anchor out of the lake.??? not to be. demo engine? I think it is just a complete core. am I trying to cheat anyone or mislead anyone? NO/ I imagine most people figure this engine needs an overbore to clean it up and the usually machine shop work. right? 50 yr old engine. huh??? sorry if anyone thinks I was trying to "mislead" anyone...
by the way, come out of dry dusty storage where it had been the last 15- yrs or so along with 6 others several which I sold and were GOOD engines or cores. I am happy to sell it to mopar bud locally.
