Curious what you guys think. Have the chance to get an original Superbee 340 engine, forged block. Before you ask, no idea how many miles are on it but from pics appears to be in pretty good condition. Would get rebuilt anyway so. . . So what do you think it's worth?

A forged block is worth some money.
383, 440 or hemi would be worth more from a Superbee. (If it's with a Superbee)

Is he talking about a 340 super bee marine?

you guys crack me up..lol
a 340 was available in a 71 super bee and 71 road runner
i own a h code 71 runner
the last 71 340 core motor i saw for sale was asking 1500
it had most of the accessories included intake and exhaust manifolds
pulleys ect
accessories can be pricey if they are missing.. one year only parts that are not easy to find..

The way it was worded was the thing I guess. You could get a 340 in a number of mopars in 71'

the 340 was a optional engine for those cars
so they had to be ordered, as the 383 was standard equip
that is why there are not many of them out there.
most people who ordered, went with a bigger engine
the runner i have is 1 of 70 something (don't remember for sure)
to start with and with options and color combo
it was probably a 1 of 1 or 1 of a very few made that way if that.

My 1971 Super Bee was a 340 6 pack, 4 speed. Very rare car. Stupid me, I sold back in 1991, then bought a 1970 Challenger 383, 4 speed.

I wouldn't think that because it came out of a SuperBee it would add any value (unless it was the original to your car). That being said, there isn't enough info to really give a specific range. Is it all stock or modified? Has it been rebuilt? You can get something that looks pretty good but needs to be rebuilt but has already been bored out .040 or .060 and that's going to be it for that block. Lots of variables. $500-$3000+ depending on parts and condition.

1971
307 super bee 340's made 268 auto 39 4 speed
1680 roadrunner 340's made 1243 auto 438 4 speed
