Okay. Friends i have it stripped down now i need a paint and body shop here in sgv part of so cal that ain't gonna rape me, any suggestions.
I don't have to tell you that CA is one of the most expensive and regulation restricted states in the Union when it comes to paint/bodywork. Between that and all of the prima donnas that have popped up in the industry over the last 20+ years, it's almost impossible to get a professional pant job for a fair price without dealing with egos & attitudes.
I recently moved out of the SF Bay Area up north a bit. I have found that the further north I go, the more paint/body craftsmen I find. These are old school guys that have their own little character quirks but do know their stuff and are definitely reasonable. I'm looking to have one of my cars painted as well. As soon as I do a little more research, I can pass on some info if that's of interest to you. Feel free to PM me and I'll keep you in the loop.
Yea big bummerFrom my experience, restoration and paint work is all lube up and bend over. And at that, hope the entire experience only lasts a couple of years.
Sad, but how most of the stories on here go.
Yeah nether can ILooks like the car is worth spending the money on, can't wait to see it done!

My Buddy had his 70 GTO done down San Diego way. All body work primed blocked sealed and painted. 10K ouch but real nice show quality not a fly spec. I have seen them go for more..
I agree but it dosent stop him from driving the snot out of it. He also let me drive it when I was down there a few weeks ago. 455 Eddy heads 5spd Tremec and 373s and a Hotchkess suspension. Fun Car.That's lawn-show paint, around here. Stupid-high prices. Gotta get outta the metro area.
