Hi , getting ready to change dash wiring harness in my 70 RR , is it possible to do without removing the dash frame ? Or would it be easier to do with it removed ? If I remove it will prob redo my heater box as well , can it be removed with the dash frame still in place . Thanks for your help, any pictures anyone took when they did their dash would be of great help also.Happy Thanks Giving to the guys in US

Is this a car that is in project stage? If so is the windshield out? The reason I ask is if you take the whole frame out and assemble it complete with wiring, cluster and all, it saves a pile of "on your back in terrible contortionist position" time. Then it slides right in complete easy as can be.

Can be done. Remove Steering Column, Instrument Cluster, Radio, and Glove box. Slide Fuse Block and harness from Left to right.

The windshield is in the car but will be put in garage for winter months so no big deal to have it removed til I get the job done then have it reinstalled

The windshield is in the car , but it will be stored in garage for winter so it wouldn't be a big deal to remove it and have it reinstalled after I get the work done

Then by all means remove the windshield and take the dash out since you want to redo the heater box. As stated above its much easier to work on out of the car
