New seats and carpet

Finally pulled the trigger and bought a set of Procar Rally 1000's for my '69 Charger. Obviously the original seats just don't have any lateral support and I find that I'm constantly bracing myself so I'm not sliding around. My biggest concern was the universal B Body bracket that some say fits perfect while most say it doesn't and needs to be modified or new holes drilled. Mine didn't fit, but I only had to drill 2 holes on each side next the the originals. While I was at it, I decided to replace the carpet at the same time (why not right?). The carpet has turned out to be more time consuming than the seats and also more painful....Sliced my thumbnail all the way through from front to back :mad:
I'm still working on the project but wanted to post some pictures of the progress

Yes!
I haven't had it out yet, but clearly they hold you in place which is what I was looking for. I also really like the look and appreciate the recline feature. I hope to finish up the project tomorrow and take it out for a test drive if the weather clears up. Bought them through Summit.

Finished up the passenger seat and did the final carpet trim this afternoon. Can't wait to take it out for a drive :)
As a bonus I found the shift light under the center console had fallen out of the hole. I didn't even know it was supposed to light up!

They come in white and a variety of other color options. I have the same seats in white in our GTX. They always get comments.

They do hold you in place very 2well with both the side & bottom bolsters.

Personally, the side bolsters are a bit too tall for my wife to get in to the car and she basically falls into the seat. ProCar does offer a seat with the same side bolsters, but the seat bolsters are a bit lower. I may, at some point in the future, change to those for my wife's sake!!

You know, Happy Wife, Happy Life!!!! Besides, she is into the dar as much as I am!!

Very nice looking seats and interior! Do the seats fall all the way forward to let someone in the back? Procar Rally 1000's...where did you get them, what vendor?

The seats look great, I've been thinking of getting rid of the plastic race seats in my car for a while. I think these might be the way to go.

Thanks! They do fold forward, but not as much as the stock seats. I bought them from Summit Racing.
 
I really want some supportive seats, mainly so I can swap between bench cruising and bucket sports fun, but I just can't quite find a seat that suits my need for classic aesthetic! They look great and I bet the feel great, but I'm personally looking for that bit more classic.... seats are nearly as hard as wheel choice!!
 
I drove the car to work today to get a good feel for the new seats. I can't tell you how much more enjoyable it is to drive with seats that actually hold you in place :D
My left leg thanked me for just being able to relax instead of bracing my body. If you're thinking of giving it a try, I'd say go for it. If anybody wants some install tips, just let me know, I'm happy to help.
 
What kind of money did they set you back? They look comfy.
