The L indicates these are HP heads with 1.74 exhaust valves. K would non HP with 1.60 exhaust valves.

though this makes sense being that the vin code L=hp and K= standard but i have seen heads with the k being large ex valves and have seen heads with no k or L with both size valves (to be clear, not on the same head)

I have saw this too but I have never saw an L code head that wasn't HP 1.74 exhaust valve from the factory.

Heads are sold. Thanks for the ad. Everything that I have seen indicates these are non HP heads. The exhaust measures 1.60.
