Hi everybody! I've been a longtime "lurker" but just decided officially join. :D I have a long history with B bodies thanks to my dad. He was nice enough to part ways with one of them: a 68 Charger RT, which he gave to me over 15 years ago. It's been a slow project as I was going through college and starting a family but I never lost my love for the car. We put re-did the interior and rebuilt the motor. My exterior may not be the best looking but under the hood is what I take real pride in. My most recent project was swapping out my old iron heads to the new Trick Flows. They've been on the car now about 6 months now. I've dropped my quarter mile times by more than one second and picked up 10 mph. My current best is 11.67@116. I think there's a little more left that I can squeeze out but I don't want to have to put a roll bar in. Anyways, here's a pic of my car and engine. Glad to be here!

Sweet ride you have there. Is that an a12 hood you've fashioned to fit the charger? Didn't think they made them for a charger. I have one on my GTX. Anyway welcome to the site.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes.

GetX'd regarding my hood, it is a direct fit for a 68/69 Charger. I don't have any information on who made it or the brand. I bought it from a guy nicknamed "Charger" Sam who had an unbelievable collection of Charger parts. I bought a bumper from him probably 16 years ago and he happen to have that hood so I made an offer on it too. I have the original hood in my garage if I ever want to switch back but I think it just looks so cool. Can't complain about the extra under hood space too.

Tell us more about your 11 second combo please.
It's a 440 that is 030 over with the Trick Flow heads of course and I'm at 10.8:1 compression with Speed Pro slugs. I'm running the MP Purpleshaft 280 cam. Performer RPM intake, Holley 850 carb, Crane gold roller rockers, Summit 1 7/8" ceramic headers, 2.5" exhaust with an X pipe, cut outs and Flowmaster Super 44's. 3.55 gears and a 2500 stall converter.

Welcome from Sunny Southeastern Arizona! Very nice car, you really owe your Dad for gifting it to you, but good job for all the work you have done since you had it! :usflag:
