Hi Everyone.
I have a 1967 GTX Convertible that I am in mid restoration stage. It is a correct 440, 4-speed car. It has buckets, console, 35,000 original miles, paint is original, soft top is original, solid no rust. The first owner bought it to drag race. So, many of the miles are 1/4 mile at a time.
I am sorting through all the small stuff that the owner pulled off (day 2 stuff, headers, tires & wheels, aftermarket distributor, etc.). I will be looking for a few things on this forum as I continue my build. I should begin taking the body apart to rotisserie it and go for a 100% car. I look forward to working with all the experts on this forum. Added a couple of pics. The old bias plys are still holding air!!!

NO NO NO , it's only original once !!!!
I know it's your car but it looks to be in pretty nice shape. PERSONAL OPINION but I'd make it safe n run it. You'll get more attention at shows guaranteed!
Either way, nice car and welcome!!

Welcome from MI. That's an awesome car, congrats on finding that one. Have you seen Graveyard cars? They are working on a very similar car on the show right now.

Love the car . . . but I'm biased . . . as I'm building a 67 Belvedere Convertible myself . . .

Welcome to the madness ! ! !

Plus manual steering & brakes!!
I'll be going into the fetal position and spend the weekend there.
Lucky guy

Welcome 4 Speed vert, very cool. Just one thing, are you sure you want to restore it.

Original paint, low mile car. Very hard to find like that. My 2 cent i would never lay a hand on original paint low mile car unless it was rusted out. You have gold, dont turn it into silver..:(

Sell the original car and buy a restoration project if you want to do a restoration.
Way too nice of an original example to restore.

Wow. Welcome aboard, love all the 67's and especially one as rare as this. It does look like a really nice original to be preserved unless the rust has started. Which ever way you go start a project thread and keep us posted!

Love the car!! There was one same color and same top on GYC on the last episode. That will be a gorgeous car. I'd restore to original condition with minor upgrades to make it more fun to drive. Just my $.02.

Nice 67 GTX project

welcome to FBBO from NorCal
