Followed manual instructions..Disconnected all wiring harnesses from behind dash. Unable to remove cluster from dash to disconnect heater/defroster controls. Don't want to damage anything.....can't get the cluster out. Any ideas???

Disconnect the speedo cable and remove the screws from the front of the cluster?

You have to get it cocked, temp gauge end out some first, then slide it out sideways to the left.... Now there will be a shim spacer along the top edge that was originally taped down at the ends to hold it in place. You want to make sure that gets back in. Seems to me there is a problem with dash light grounding if this is not properly replaced.

Never had that problem with grounding just have to keep the screws tight.
