Great video, great car. Being as I have a 70 Roadrunner, I don't like Leno knocking the "silly horn" (lol) but I understand, as his car is a sleeper. I am a little suspicious of his claim that it shifts out at 7,200 rpms, but afaik, that could be true. Nice ride along, he really enjoys driving it. Thanks for the post.
When I talked with Jay last month at the Veteran's benefit, I told him I was a muscle-car guy. He said he wished he had his 66 hemi-Coronet with him. That's when I got the picture of us with my hemi-roadrunner. He really wanted to see it. He seems like such a down to earth, type guy.
Great car. The fact that it has badging that says 426 Hemi negates anything sleeper about that car though. I'm sure no GTOS or Mustang would mess with it once they saw the emblem.
I personally like think stripes look nice, as do magnum or rally wheels and hood scoops with ram air.
He leaves them in Stock condition. Some of his cars you may not find elsewhere. He is also willing to share his knowledge and show his cars to us so that we may learn.
I saw him and several of his steam cars/engines on modern marvels. He did a marvelous job of demonstating/explaining. Was really cool to watch
