Saving a 1970 Super Bee from the junker

So my father owned a 1969 1/2 Super Bee 383 and sense I have seen the pictures I have always wanted to own one. Well the other day I found a great deal on a 1970 Super Bee but it may be more work than I care for but its destination would be the junk yard in January. Me being a muscle car guy I couldnt stomach seeing that car get crushed so here we are. Question is with whats left is the car worth all the trouble? Dont know too much about it yet besides its a manual transmission, 12" brakes, no engine on trans, no title and believes it to have a Posi rear. What do these things go for it this kind of dis-repair?

Feel free to start posting parts for sale if you decide to go the easy route and just make some money from it.

Were either side of the grill salvageable? That may be your most difficult part to find.
 
And it would be 11" brakes.....biggest you could get on a car back then.
 
It looks like it's already in the junkyard. Ya might be better trying to salvage it for parts. Doors, fenders, grill...
Have you done any research to find out what it will take to bring it back to life?
 
Picking it up tomorrow, its on a guys property who has 250+ classics at another location and a ton of stuff laying around on this property that I assume is selling because he needs it all this stuff gone by January. I will have a better idea of condition and have better pics tomorrow. My dad was saying something about 12" was a police package brake?
 
I am assuming this one was probably at 383? any way of telling by body styling.
 
VIN number will tell you what the engine was. 5th digit designates the engine. Or the fender tag, E63 on the tag is for a 383.
 
I'm just curious and don't want to horn in on anybody's "find".
We don't have space for anymore cars, time to work on them and we don't really need parts for the ones that we already have.
(I know, you can always use extra parts but, we just don't have any room to store them for a "maybe" someday.)


Is this place just a little East of Austin with a bunch of Mopars and you can't see them from the road?
Hubby went to a place with his brother several years ago that sounds a lot like the place that you mentioned. He said you wouldn't know they were there unless you were told about them. He also said around 200- 250 cars were there. That's a lot of cars to move, even if he got started awhile ago. And if he did, wonder what he's got left.....

All depends on your devotion & mechanical ability.....for me the floor & frame rails are the make or break..if those are shot then snag what you can with vin #'s and find another body....IMO
