Hi Everyone,

Hoping Christmas was joyous for you, and that the New Year brings many good things!

I have two questions I'm hoping the more knowledgeable (than me) members can help me with. I think I'm on the right track but would like to confirm a few things.

I have a bone stock complete 440 out of a 1967 Imperial which is going in my 1969 Sport Satellite (currently 318/904). The 440 is a factory A/C motor with all brackets and I have the Schumacher kit for the swap.

I'm temporarily switching to non- A/C for the initial install and swap, but will later reinstall the correct (original) pulleys, etc. to go with aftermarket A/C. I bought the correct parts from Randy Bouchillon (pulleys and alternator bracket) and they're going on the engine.

My mechanic just wants to confirm whether the P/S set-up will need anything else to align properly, i.e., with the non-A/C pulley/bracket set-up, and whether the kickdown linkage from the C Body 440 will work in my B Body?

As always, thank you for the benefit of your experience.

Chris - Sacramento

The C body linkage won't work. You will have to purchase the B body 727 linkage. The pump goes in the same place, but the crank pulleys are not the same A/C VS Non A/C. I would use all the A/C pulleys, and Temporarily Re-install the factory Compressor, so you can use the Original Alternator,P.S., and water pump Pulleys. Change it later, save Money. The 440 motor mounts on the Imperial will fit the B body, why use Schumacher? as far as I remember, the Imperial and all C bodies used the same mounts and brackets. 1966-72 or so.

and, the 67' 440 Chrysler motor mounts and brackets will fit the B Body V8 K member.

I took the engine out of my 1967 New Yorker and sunk it in my 1970 Coronet 318 car, Kickdown I used the one from the NY whitout problem, hoses for P/S had to be changed.

My cuda had the driveline from a 71 New Yorker shoved in it. It worked fine. Accessories were swapped-out from the original 383.

These big girls that gave up there engines better have been too far gone to save.:soapbox:
Hey matt! My 67' New Yorker is still sitting here waiting to be adopted. 15 years and counting!Lol

I wish I could. Hey did I ever answer your email a while back????
Hey, I don't remember! Mental pause they call it. I''ll post it for sale here one of these days. I'm a bit attached to it.

4dr. hardtops are so gangster....and hard to notice the 2 extra doors, immediately.,

If it were a '66 300 4 door hdtp with power vents and a console I might be seeing if he'd trade for a B-body project.

It is a clean car. I have had it here since around 2001 or so. It has never sat outside as long as I have had it. All original, and the engine/trans runs excellent. No power vent, sorry matt!

****, I thought it had power vents. I'm really out then!
That is a sweet car though, you should put some miles on it!

They are powered, depending on how much energy I have! Lol
