Does anyone have these wheels on their B body or have a picture of one that does?? They are the reproduction wheel and only come with chrome spokes and ring. I like the look of the old brushed aluminum look 14's, but nobody makes them in 15" that I can find anyway. You can get the brushed trim rings. Thanks in advance for any help.

Not sure what you are asking, but let me take a shot: I have 15x8 rims on all four wheels with 245/60R15 and 275/60R15 tires front and rear. The wheels are Wheel Vintiques Magnum 500 style wheels and I added brushed trim rings to replicate the road wheels. Personally, I think they look cool and a bit different than most others running magnum 500s. Not sure if this is what you were looking for?

Weren't the early Magnum 500 made chrome rims and didn't use the trim rings?

They are stainless spokes/inner center edge and the rest of the wheel was painted black. The wheel then got a stainless trim ring that wasn't polished. Below is the 1970 Plymouth ad showing the wheels on the RR in background.

Here is an up close pic of an original wheel. I think a person could have the entire center of wheel powder coated stainless and go back and paint the black using the magnum 500 paint kit that most vendors sell.

My understanding is that Road wheels and Magnum 500 wheels are the same centers but the wheel is black on road wheels but chrome on magnum 500s. I was not aware that the spokes were stainless.

I got magnum 500s with chrome and put trim rings on them. Who cares if they are black or chrome, they are mostly covered anyway! As a matter of fact, for the small areas where you can see the chrome, I actually think it looks better than if it were black.

There were actually three different variations of the Road Wheel or Magnum 500 wheel. The first being the style found on the 67 and 68 model cars. They featured the chromed outer band. You may find some of these wheels lingering over into the 69 model year as parts were being used up. As well some of the very late 68 cars have came across with the 69 style wheel which featured a black outer band and the center spokes were a brushed finish. They also feature the very difficult to locate trim rings that clipped over the edge of the outer rim. Then in 1970 to the end of the production run of Magnum 500 wheels, they had a trim ring that snapped into the outer loop of the wheel and they featured a more polished spoke.

That is also the information I came up with through various articles. So on a 1970, unless you got the all chrome 500's, the trim ringed wheel would be the correct wheel on a 70 Roadrunner??

These are a set of magnums 500's 14 inch with the chrome rings if your not sure what to look for

Base wheel would be steel wheel with the small "poverty style" hub cap on a 14 by 6 wheel. The last three digits of part number is 324 and they are very difficult to find. The other options would be the rally wheel or the road wheel. The road wheel or Magnum 500 wheel was always a 14 inch wheel as the 15 inch wheel was never offered from the factory.
