What did you do to your Mopar today?

I was carrying a large box around the front of the car and my coat pocket somehow caught the front trim spear. The box I was carrying was just large and a bit heavy and pulled me forward and I couldn't hold my balance. Pulled the damn spear off.
It actually appears that the center 2 posts were already broken as they had some kind of adhesive on them that appears to have been holding it on. Those actually pulled some paint off. The front post is still there and the rear threaded post may still be ok. Sometimes I wonder if I'm meant to have this car. ugh. :(

That sucks, and I know what you mean about owning certain cars. I hope you can get it fixed pretty easy and inexpensively.

My good-friend Dave came over today to hang-out and give me a hand. We hadn't hung-out for awhile[he has a wife fighting with her family about an estate]. So we took a couple hours to pull the front-end out of my silver car. It's been neglected for a few years, and was really starting to show. Before I install the fresh engine/trans.....I'm detailing all the grungy stuff. All new front-end parts and coatings. The original stuff only has about 50 miles on it, but I'll replace it anyways. It's all MOOG stuff.

^^^ looks clean already

is that a tow hook on front of kframe?

The loop is for my tie-downs or towing. The car is filthy and some corroded stuff. It used to be like jewelry....and will be again.

Had a milestone moment for the `cuda last night. It was on the ground, running under it's own power, moved forward and reverse, and braked as well. This is the first time it's done those things in about 35-40 years. Gotta thank Tony for his always-valuable help. Sometimes, 2 hands just aren't enough.

Did a little straightening and tig-welding to the k-frame[tow hook], then took most of the big pieces to my powder-coater[QC Coatings] When I got home, I pulled the rest of the front-end out, and disassembled stuff.

This is going to be a sweet ride. Love the colors and the power plant. Great work.

lol. not much time to work on the car and a non heated garage. Hoping to have time in the next couple weeks. I'm talking to my brother about the direction to go with the car before he puts the rear end back together. You keep us going mmissile. Definitely enjoying your builds and posts.

I'm doing bodywork . . . scratch that, I'm trying to figure out what in the world I'm doing with this bodywork . . . so when I add stuff, and sand it off, add stuff, and sand it off . . . one of these days I'll figure out what I'm doing and be able to post a picture of my "handywork" ? ? ?

It won't be perfect . . . but I'm working on it and trying my best . . .

BTW . . . we got up to 79 degrees today . . . high of 50 tomorrow ? ? ? Welcome to NC . . .

Yeah cold weather sucks in a non-insulated shed w/ no door :(

Drilled out the left headlight bucket in the '55 Plymouth Suburban and installed the headlight plugs on the wiring as I continued the 12V conversion and rewiring.

Cleaned up the front 2/3 of the underside. Gotta pull the back 1/3 of exhaust, to get to the rest of the underside. Also detailed the steering box a bit. See above pics to see what it looked like before. Not perfect....but pretty much buried by the elephant, anyways.

Took off the Weiand intoake & Holley carb to put the stock pieces back on. Since the a/c compressor had to come off, I decided to pull the rest of the stuff off the top of the engine & paint what can be seen the right shade of turquoise.

Anyone interested in the intake & almost new carb?
