Engine painting questions?

Congratulations on the big time points wins you've referenced more than once.

Extremely impressive!
Sarcastic aren't we...touchy are you on a Sunday.....

Sorry, I did do well in those but the clear point was made...rattle can or not they both yield the same results at any show and in longevity/durability/and finish.....

Here is an example of a small area on my charger since painted 5 years ago today with totally auto rattle can. Taken just now...Excuse the dust it's hibernation season..Do you care to provide a pic of that same area on your Coronet? Since yours holds up soooo much better than my rattle can....

Here ta go. Now, this is certainly no big points show winner, but I expect it to look good for a long time:

Pic below you posted yesterday showing a antifreeze stain and a thermostat housing housing gasket missing paint on the back edge.........but the two you posted in this thread do not show those features:realcrazy:

Course it is not a big points winner but that is not the point I made here. I made the CLEAR point that even people(as myself) with those types of cars use rattle can with the same yield and longevity as a guy whom used a spray gun....So to the restorer out there they have two options to use based on their affordability and with each if properly done will have a long lasting paint job......

With all that aside you do have a real nice looking Coronet!

guilty of wiping the antifreeze off before the pic. The paint is as seen in the pics I snapped a bit ago.
Thanks for the compliment.

Rattle-can @30 years old.
Discoloration from radiator "event".
All the block paint has held on.
Before I painted the block on the stand I ran a propane torch over the whole surface of the block, and watched a whole lot of moisture being driven out of the cast iron. Then I painted.
Eastwood high temp on manifolds has also held on really well.
This pic was after 5 years of storage due to insane spouse.

Whoops.
That's Mopar brand Turquoise.
In the late 70s, every consumer brand of Mopar turquoise was flat out wrong, and it drive me crazy. I got better.
