maybe this long *** winter is wearing on me, or it is time for a change. really been thinking a lot about de-tuning the RR. may put it back to a mild 440 4 barrel, put the 5 speed back in, 8 3/4, and send it on its way. really digging on the new hellcats. I'm seeing some decent prices on the used ones. There seems to be a lot of really low millage cars out there at the moment. Money from the roadrunner could go along way towards upgrading.

Man you bumped your head don't trade in that old steel for a new hellcat....they are a fad and will go out of style. The b body bird? Never go out of style. Hell we are all here together for that very love..

707 hp will never go out of style.

It is all about what floats your boat. The only thing I will say is I know a ton of guys out there looking for cars they used to have. Yeah, the grass looks greener, but is it really?????

Man you could make a pretty good dent in the cost of an HC... I would be curious as to what kind of value they would offer vs private sale???

IS that a six pack RR you have there? Looks like a beauty. It would be a shame to see that go for more common platform in a Hellcat. You now have old collector iron - trade that in for a common car? You'll never use that hp anyway. Keep the RR - you're just going thru a phase we all go thru from time to time.

I can tell you of my similar experience. I always had Mustangs, owned a nice assortment of Shelby's, Boss's and Cobra Jets over the years. I felt like I was done with the old and bought a 11 GT500, sold it and bought a 12 GT500. Everything you could want a car to do, blazing fast, cold ac, stop on a dime. Wasn't long before I got rid of it too. Was just about ready to order a 16 GT350. Ended up buying my 67 Coronet RT at Carlisle, I love it. Just added a 67 GTX from a real gentleman in Florida. Can't wait to get it. For me I found I always need to tinker, look for that odd part, have a piece reconditioned that bothers me, solve a quirky problem. The late model cars didn't scratch that itch. Even though they are far superior in every regard they bore me.

Couldn't agree more. No personality at all, in the new cars.

I appreciate the late model cars no doubt.

I appreciate the "other" musclecars even BUT if I wanted to talk about them with the vast majority of folks that are into them I'd go to those forums.

I said it once I'll say it again I joined a b body forum out of a love for exactly that , a b body. I couldn't imagine trading one away for anything but another b body....

Perhaps you missed the point of my story. I only own 2 b bodies currently. No other muscle cars. I thought a forum is about sharing, guess I'm wrong.

Now that Dodge is coming out with yellow as a Hellcat option I wish I wasn't in the middle of my 65 Coronet build (way to much invested to ever get out) because a yellow Hellcat it would be.
Of course I would still have and keep my stock 65 Coronet. Good luck with whatever you decide.

No no I didn't mean to reply to you in any negative manner sorry if that's the way you took it

Get what makes you happy... I would wait for demon to come out because hc gonna drop like a stone when the Demon hits the tile floors. Between the guys who trade in their hc for demons driving down value so will just having the new car available, way easier to land the prom queen after college than in high school, I am cheap so I will take the prom queen when shes 45 years old and has 3 kids and 2 divorces under her belt, stretch marks don't scare me...

NEW cars are fun, I don't care what anyone says, that feeling we get- indorfins (I spelt' that wrong) going crazy, its like the drunk human resources lady rubbing against you at the holiday party, or when your wife agrees to wear the wig you bought that looks just like her sisters hair, you both know it looks like the sister but no one says it, but in your head you are thinking "your my wifes sister"....
