I am searching for a black lower left rally dash pad for my 69 Coronet. They are not being reproduced yet and thought I would throw out to the FBBO group for help. I keep looking on the sale forum but haven't seen one yet or just too slow to grab it! Thanks....

there is one on ebay right now its black too. don't know how to post the link but search "mopar ralley dash pad "

Will do and thanks! I love the help you get on this site from guys that have a genuine love for MOPARS and seeing them restored.

I found it and looked at the not -to-clear pictures. I have no idea how to restore the separating from foam aspect and I worry about the rust getting under the steel and how you address that from coming apart several years down the road. The standard dash pads I have now are almost pristine with no rust , separation, scratches on pad or rubbed off areas as I have seen on the pieces for sale and that makes me think that some great pieces are out there. If I knew what to do and had the skill set, the piece on ebay now would probably work.... but I am in the dark on how to bring it up to the caliber I want for my car. I will think about this piece and keep hoping a better one pops up. Thanks for the lead....

I have made repairs to the seperation with "shoe goo" and masking tape. these are tough to find in pristine condition. I saw at least two of them on there. wish i knew how to post the links!

Yes, and have seen the same one on multiple different ways to bring up the pads on ebay. What do YOU think? Is this a piece that could be revived? The front doesn't look bad at all, but the back and my limited knowledge and skill set have me doubting if I can make this work.

I would hold out for one a bit better It seems that most of them have a bit of separation from age. I have seen them come up here and there for sale I wouldn't worry too much about the color
they can easily be dyed black.

Thanks for the tips and point of view Beekeeper. I will wait a while longer but really want a black if possible. Adding repairs to the aspect of dying or painting really compounds the issue for me. All the rest of my dash pieces are original black, having to change color on one might make it stand out like a sore thumb against those other pieces. Let me know if you see anything else pop up.

Pg classic has a new reproduction black one listed on ebay right now. So I gotta figure out how to post the link from my iPad the last one I did was from my computer

I called them and they are making for 70 year model, not 68-69 yet. They told me the one for 70 won't fit my 69 right....is that correct?

Yea that's correct the 1970 version is abs plastic. I saw the the description on the one on eBay
says steel back with vinyl covered so they are describing it as a 68'-69' correct part. Not sure what's up with that.

I see THAT! Hope they will sell the parts individually. I will call again and ask when they will be ready and if they will sell separate. Thanks Moparnation!

Still kind of holding out for a real piece and can be patient. I have enough of the dash to get the layout for my rally like dash gauge panel I want to build so I will concentrate on getting that cut out. Next will be buying the gauge package, do the layout and putting the carbon fiber vinyl overlay on the panel. After that we dive in to a wiring harness....the SCARY part for me! Tying everything together for anesthetics is one thing, making it function properly with old school and new school combined will be a challenge for me. Send encouragement and cheat notes if you guys have any.
