Hi, Bought a brand spanking new 1970 Road Runner when I was 20 years old. 383 Pistol grip 4 spd. Had it for four years. Wow, what fun I had street racing around the Phoenix area (back before it was considered a capitol offense).
Got the Mopar bug again in 1994, bought another 70 RR, 383 auto, then a year later bought another 70 RR 383 four spd air grabber. Sold the first one and converted the second one (non-numbers car) to a 440+6. Raced in the Pony Express 100 and the Bonneville 100 open road races in Nevada. Took a 1st place win in class (2002). Full story covered in Robert Genat's six-pack book, pg 106 "Bury the Needle". Yes that was me, Don Parish.
Now I'm retired, got the bug again, just bought a 1968 Road Runner 383 four speed as a Christmas present to myself (hey, who else would treat me that good). Looking forward to sharing with people on this forum. Thanks, Don Parish AKA RRDon
