have known the paint was peeling on the inside of my trunk on the '62 project but took good look at today.
Nothing like finding the peeling paint was due to poor prep on an NOS decklid!!!!

I found something interesting on my old 67 Belvedere while sanding it down. It wore the original white paint. But what was under the paint was interesting. Still to this day do not know why it was there. But here is a picture of what looked like a factory pin stripe, covered by factory paint. the line was green seperated by a white pin stripe. Best visual is lower right side of this picture.

That's odd and neat.

My 67 Wagon appears to have blue paint or primer under nearly all of it's original white paint.
(at least every spot that is thin or rubbed through)

The car does have a blue interior, but why would they paint most if not all of the car including the tailgate in blue then white?

Stripped a 69 valiant years ago b5 original paint car,the whole front of the car was f8 under the b5, even the fender tag that said b5
