Opinions Wanted - Black or Blue Interior

Since I have to replace the carpet / upholstery / and restore it anyway I was just trying to decide which way to go. If it was in decent shape as-is I wouldn't change it just to change it.
Cool... then, for that matter, I would go blue.

Thanks, but the car and the owner haven't fared so well after 25 years. I think we could both use some restoration. I have to admit, even in the condition it is in it looks bad-***.

Did these cars come new with cardboard to catch the drips or is that a mod? Is there a part number?

I called the local Chrysler dealer parts department looking for a gas tank filler to gas tank grommet for a 67 GTX. He said he did not have a look-up for a 67, but could see if the part was available if I could come up with a part number. I looked up the number in my parts manual and he said it did not show as available. He added that the cars were built for a ten year life span so fifty years was pushing that a little.

My car was originally green on green. The previous owner stripped out nearly all of the interior (except rear seat) and painted the exterior blue before I got it. If my interior was blue, I would have kept it. I bought black seat covers for the buckets and dyed the rear seat black. Black is the cheapest color and it goes with everything. But I still prefer blue on blue.

I like blue! My GTX is B5 blue & blue int.

Here is a couple of my 68 EE1 car with blue interior..

That's all I could scrounge up at work on my PC.....lemme know if you want any other shots as it is tucked away in my garage but eas
y to get at.

I like how a different color makes the black on the instrument panel pop.

Yup....one of my favorite things about this car is the blue interior and the pistol grip.....and the sounds it makes when I stomp on it!

I love the colors. I have a few black Interiors, of which I wish I didn't. Blue is cool!

Thank you very much for the pictures. They are very helpful. The car is beautiful. Is that exterior color true 1968 E Dark Blue Metallic?
Thanks!

Yup sure is.....it is a weird color. In the sun it has a very blue look, but in the shade it almost can be mistaken as black. It has a little extra metallic in it, but nothing else other than stock.

I'd go with blue for a practical reason. My '67 GTX has a black interior, but I'm changing it out to blue. Too hot in Texas for a black interior!
