2016 6.4 and 8spd swap

I have not seen the NAG1 mentioned here. That 727 would be great but you are not going to realize the fuel economy with it that you would with the NAG1. This transmission has been said to handle 1000hp! Russell Drake at Sound german automotive .com has this transmission dialed in for programming. Ask Chris at Hotwire about this possibility. If you are resigned to modifying the tunnel , you might as well check into it at least. Sure works great in my GTX with the 5.7 and I am getting 18mpg with it!

The nag1 is a great trans, so if your gonna do tunnel mods, do the nag1!

Great information...if you can follow lol. He understands all that computer stuff way better than I do. Seems more cost effective to just go with a reprogramed stock ECM with premade harness.
IMHO
This is NOT MY INFORMATION BELONGS TO THIS GUY ROLLING THUNDER HE USE A 2005 PCM WICH HE SEND TO REPROGRAM AND HE MODIFIED A 2005 HEMI RAM WIRE HARNESS it is necessary to understand how to build a fuse box and how to connect this fuses to the respective relays and difference between volts amps and how to connect this between them
New Gen Hemi stand alone harness.....
Because so many people ask.... I'm giving a cliffnotes version of what needs to be done to make your harness applicable to an older muscle car... . this will work for a 5.7L or a 6.1L Hemi - I'm 99% sure a 6.4L as well.... no first hand experience though....

Cliffnotes.... You'll only be using the Black, Orange, and White connectors for this one.... if you're using the mopar trans then you'll use the green connector and be asking for a lot of *** pain going with it.

BLACK CONNECTOR:
Pin 29: Wire to terminal 86 / 30 on Auto Shut Down Relay (ASD)
Pin 30: Wire to pin 85 on a Starter relay

ORANGE CONNECTOR:
Pin 8: NOT USED
Pin 22: NOT USED

WHITE CONNECTOR:
Pin 3: ASD Relay terminal 85
Pin 8: NOT USED
Pin 11: A/C Relay terminal 85
Pin 14: NOT USED
Pin 19: ASD Relay terminal 87
Pin 20: NOT USED
Pin 23: NOT USED
Pin 28: ASD Relay terminal 87
Pin 29: NOT USED
Pin 35: NOT USED
Pin 37: Fuel Pump relay terminal 86
Pin 38: Starter Relay terminal 86

This should be getting 99% of you guys on the road.... If you are using the NAG1 or truck trans - just use the green connector and plus into the trans.... any other specific questions PM me and I'll do my best to answer while I'm in the Middle East.

PS - You're welcome.

I am planning on cutting the tunnel and cross member as needed. The making sure I am getting the right parts that will work is the issue. The 545RFE was the suggested transmission option (looking at the ATS model). The NAG1 is also an option. I'm still researching and learning these new electronic shift transmissions with the goal being keeping the cab as original as possible with the exception of the dash (already have a set of Autometer gauges installed). Also with the NAG1 I would need a donor car or at least all the missing shifter components and computers.

Been there done that. Finishing up the brakes on my `cuda.....then gonna drive it around the neighborhood.

I love power, don't get me wrong, but on a new motor, it might be worthwhile to take a test drive in a 6.4 challenger and see how the power is before opening it up to put Pistons in for a blower. A few bolt ons and a tune and you will have more power than traction. I thought I wanted a blower and for my 6.1 but with a little work, it is pretty stupid for a street car

I think its just a matter of time before someone can support the 8-speed tranny. Ask Hotwire, maybe they are working on it.... I'm gonna use the NAG1 for my car though. The 545RFE seems so big and bulky.

The NAG1 seems like a good option however I think there's a lot more parts I need for that conversion than I would for the 545RFE. Since I will have both trans I may build the tunnel for the 8HP70 making sure the 545RFE still fits. In looking at them side by side there a few differences.
