Evening all. Just thought I'd join and share/get advice for our rides. Been wanting a Charger since the DOH. Was looking for a 69 but found a sweet 68 in 1998 that I couldn't pass up. I was 28 and had no idea what I was getting into. I figured I'd have this thing torn down and restored within 2 years....yeah right! Then later into my build I discovered Pro-Touring and it's been a 17 year love affair and triple the budget but she's finally street ready.
It was an all original 440/727 with dark green paint and interior. Nothing special so I decided to improve on everything since these cars were not that great bone stock. Anyway, I hope the purists don't hate too much since this wasn't a HEMI car or 1 of 1. Hope to be swapping stories with ya'll soon. Have a good one.

Bad ***. Welcome. 68s are hands down my favorite. Ya hemis are great, But id take a slant 6 that someone saved and made their own any day. that hood is cool as hell.. old scool cowl with a z28 style louver. Cant say ive seen that before. Awesome. How bout some pics of its journey to get where it is now?

Unfortunately all the old pics are in a photo album. This was all pre iPhone. The motor and tranny were stout but everything else needed work.

welcome to FBBO that charger looks bad ***

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal. Your Charger is sweet. The purists have their place - but so do the pro-touring. Mine is a resto mod. Built it like I liked it. As did you - cool.

Welcome J-440 from the Woodlands, Nice ride!
There are several members here from the Houston area Im sure they will be introducing themselves to you.

Preciate the compliments. The hood is a 3" cowl with '14 Mustang hood vents. Good aero and really gets the heat out.

Welcome to FBBO from NorCal
