As the title says need to know if its painted or if they brought the headliner material down into that area. Thanks in advance. Is it even called a B pillar? I'm talking about the POST in a post car.

The post is painted the same color as the upper door frame code. Headliner stops behind the headliner trim piece.

A pillar - Windshield
B pillar - Door post (21 body style)
C pillar - Rear roof area (sail pillar)

Hope this helps.

Thats what I thought. Thanks I don't have a fender tag so I don't know the actual upper door frame code. The previous owner has painted the upper door above the door panel black as well as the rear area above the rear panels. Gloss black.

I see in your sig that you are seeking fender tags and VIN. Are you making a database for Lynch road cars? My old 67 Belvedere was a Lynch Rd car. The guy we bought the RR from is contacting the wife of the guy he got the car from and seeing if she has the fender tag.. He said hes pretty positive that the tag was on the car when he last looked at it before he bought the car. This RR is a ST Louis car.

Thanks for the thought. I only mess with 1969 thru 71 LR tags. There are others on this forum that specialize in SL cars. If you post your tag, it would be appreciated. If not comfortable with that, email it and I will see they get it.
