I've got a 1973 Charger SE 400 BB front disc/rear drum I have been looking at proportional valves on line none of them come close to oem's any one have advice on what to buy . I have no way to rebend lines if these after market ones don't fit the same.

Get a used one from Tony's, or you can get a new adjustable one.

look for a original
anything else is a headache one way or another.

You don't necessarily need a proportioning valve. I did not put one on my 64 Dodge until I had a chance to try it out. Can't see how it could work any better..........................MO

Contact VegasCharger over at dc.com. No doubt he has a used one.

I had the ram man rebuild my original one about 4 years ago when he did my booster, works great haven't had any issues. Just a thought!

I'd rather rebuild it my self if there are parts available to do that . When I look I see for different years and they don't show a pic of the brake valve so I'm not sure what one to purchase.

They were available new repro sometime ago of the K-H one, not the bendix though ( the pictured is K-H ). Bought one, but just last long 2 years and began to fail like my old original one. Dunno if bad luck or bad quality. When installed worked GREAT untill failed.

There is rebuild kits around with springs and O rings available, but the front section of them.

It seems the repro piece is not anymore available, so mostly sure what I got is a quality issue and they weren't made anymore

3642 233 is the part number
PF527 Is the number they show next to my part in the manual.

First, you do need a prop valve. Second, you would most likely be OK grabbing one from any 1973+ Mopar rwd passenger car at the junkyard, up through the 80s diplomats.
