'77 Cordoba Crown Roof Package

Anyone here work on one of these? I have both service manuals but there seems to be no mention of it. The two sides light up but the whole part going over the roof from side to side does not. What do I need to check? And possibly repair it? And most importantly, how the heck do I get to it to service it? I'm figuring I may have to take some interior parts apart but don't want to start ripping the car apart without knowing what the procedure is. And if it matters, it has T-tops also. Thanks in advance for any and all help.

The only lights that should light up are the opera lights. The bar itself does not light up. If you want to remove the bar simply remove the center piece and the use a clip tool to release the plastic locking tabs underneath. Be careful they will probably be really brittle.

Thanks. Never had experience with this option and while examining it did not see how the whole thing could light up. I saw a post on another site that said the whole thing DID light up. Dealer brochure beats around the bush with semantics about how it lights up. My "opera side bulbs" do work so no need to rip into it. What a shame that it was not engineered to light completely up......that would look really neat!

1977 part book shows these for the band:

4094294 band lite filler (2 used). don't have
4094296-7 R/L band lite. I have these NOS or used
3764047 band relay. I have this NOS
4094260 band assy. (contains studs and clips) don't have
4094266 band end cap. I have these used
6025860 barrel clip use/steel studs on band. don't have
4057555 retainer pkg use/plastic studs on band. 6/pkg have these NOS
4094619 band plastic stud. have these NOS


so yes it did light up
