Hi All, can someone explain the yellow mounts to me? I have a used one and looked up the number and a 1200.00 one pops up on ebay. So if an NOS one is $1200 what a used one worth? Maybe someone with a survivor car would use it? Thoughts?

Looks like my A100 van trans mount. The engine was painted yellow from the factory. They were called Yellow Jackets.

Wow, old assembly line parts are that valuable? I have tie-rod ends from original stock-boxes. 2-3K apiece?

Paint can get pricey. If you give me $500 for mine, I'll paint it any color you want.

is it made out of solid gold?
The yellow paint was applied to the HEAVY DUTY applications. They did this for many years. The resto guys may wig out about them but I'd just default to a urethane insert in a stock bracket!

so wait, should I spray the entire undercarriage of my GTX yellow? it's all HEAVY DUTY (HD).

Not really cause tie rods ends were the same for so many years. Some assembly line Hemi parts like this are extremely valuable to the concours restorers especially the 70-71 vintage.

That part is worth it... if your car is worth eighty-umpty kazillion dollars.

LOL, thanks everyone for an entertaining thread, even though I didn't really get an answer. Quickbpbp- thanks, I'll check that link. I guess the only real way to see what something is worth is to throw it on ebag. I remember a response from years ago from a wise(a$$) man on one of the boards-" It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it". I've had a few RRs and GTXs and never noticed yellow under it.
