Ball bearings on the rear axles, not taper roller bearings w/adjusters

It looks correct, when I changed over one of the Dana 60 rears I used a competition engineering brand c8008, it looks just like that. I think you are good to go.

you might have to remove the the thurst blocks in the chunk, for the axles to fit properly.

I'm reading the original design, crimped style you want to stay away from, and go with the snap ring style, any thoughts on this?

Should also mention I'm thinking I should change out the axles since new motor will be 600+hp and will be ocxasionally raced with slicks Bolted up. Should I just order the axles with correct bearings at the same time.

Get ahold of Cass @ Dr. Diff. He will get you set up with everything you need.

Ok so I talked to cass, he says I may be pushing the strength limit of the 8.75 Chrysler. Last thing I want is a weak spot in my set up. Now I asked him what he would recommend using other than the 8.75, while waiting a response from him i wanted your guys opinions on a 9" axle housing set up, was looking at a set from Reilly motorsports since it would bolt right up to my street lynx 4 link. Can anyone share opinions on the 9", stregnth compared to 8.75. Anyone with any input I would appreciate your insight.

9" enjoys a large aftermarket support system.
I was looking under one of the newer challenger non VIN number factory race cars. "Drag pack" maybe? It had a V-10 and a 9" from the factory.

I missed the part about your motor having +600 HP and slicks. I would highly advise moving up to a 9 as well as a housing that will allow for a larger/stronger axle. The reason I say this is my car has a built 340 with nowhere near the HP of yours and I found out that the stock axles where twisted. Randy's set me up with an axle that was 25% stronger than stock but I doubt it would be able to handle the load of your HP plus slicks. Randy's is very well known for their rear end setups. They are also owned under the same ownership group as Yukon Gear. Just an FYI so you have some choices.

Thanks buddy, i appreciate it. seems the concensus is move up to a 9" is the best bet, I've created a for sale thread for my 8.75 if anyones interested, check it out.
