My 69 sport satellite has the receptacles for rear courtesy lights on drivers and passengers sides. My old harness had them as well as the new. I dont recall when i disassembled the car seeing any rear lights. The panels have no holes for courtesy lights. Now when watching GYC they had a 69 convert and low and behold i got a view of those courtesy lights and were they were mounted. My car also came with the light package option. Now im thinking maybe i have 68 rear interior panels with no courtesy lights. This has got be really buged, i cant figure it out. I mean i dont recall any rear courtesy lights and again there are no holes in the panel. What gives here? Can anyone shed any light on this? Much appreciated.

Did you look at the backside of the panels? On the rear of the panel there is a hole to receive a light....from the front you only see a rectangular hole facing down....thats where the light shines through....does this make sense? I just worked on a 68 GTX convertible and it had this setup...

My 67 has the courtesy lights, and I can get you some pictures of the panels if you like . . . let me know . . .

Better yet . . . found the pics I had taken of them . . . here you go

Yep, these guys are right. 67's are round and have a lens I think. The 69/70 don't have a lens, but just a small rectangular hole facing downwards. I'm not sure about the 68's. Anyway, you're 69 convt. should have the small, downward facing rectangular holes in about the same spot as the 67's shown. There's a round hole in the back of the plastic panel where the bulb/socket goes. Watch out and don't push those sockets back in too roughly...they can crack. (ask me how I know)

The socket is the same as a taillight socket, and an 1156 bulb works

If you look about 4 inches back of the panel insert at the top edge, you will see the small rectangular hole on these 68 panels. Disregard the hack job speaker holes. There's a socket receptacle on the back side that receives a socket similar to the tail light sockets.
