I have three 60" by 36" pieces of Therm Tec insulation for the floor of my '72 SSP project car. I am thinking of starting with the tunnel and then doing each side. Does anyone who has done a BBody before have a better/different strategy? Thank you.

I start at the firewall and move back side to side

Did my wife's car the same as Mechanic, used Fat Mat. Doubled up on the front floor pan trans tunnel, and firewall also installed on the roof, inside of the doors, package tray, and b pillars & trunk divider.
Mainly to stop that hollow sound and of course limit heat transfer.

I went up a little higher on the inside firewAll other than that I did the same.

The summit tru max I avoided because I used it before and it got wet once and did not handle it well

I started at the back and worked my way forward. . The foil facing will tear when crawling around on it. Maybe take your shoes off? ..............MO

I did Dyna Mat from firewall to taillights . Inside doors and all in my 63 Ply. Spt. Fury Vert

It's mildew resistant fiber. I got the kind with double backed aluminum. So, if water does get in it will have to be from the sides which I taped with aluminum tape. I also have all new seals throughout.

What brand are you using? Mine doesn't tear at all
I used Boom Matt . In all fairness, its aluminum facing is fairly tough , but it was a while before I got the carpet installed. different people were inside the car and they probably weren't as careful as I would have been I highly recommend the boom matt for it's effectiveness and being odor free. Worth comparing costs ........................MO

Next time make sure she takes her shoes off before getting into your car.
