Spark plug gap?

I have an MSD type insert into the distributer if that makes sense?

the .017 is for the points gap not your spark plug gap. .035 is what your spark plug gap should be
thank you, I just re-read it with patience this time, nice bit of confusion for today, my feeler gauge only goes to .032 will this work ok or does it need to be 100% .035?

that should be close enough to use

I use a wire gauge for spark plug gap. If have a mic or calipers measure some wire and find a .035 wire. Paper chip maybe or something like that until you get a proper gapping tool.

I have had this one for well over 30 years, its great, goes from .0015 to .024 and easy to combine different sizes for the gap needed.
