Picked up a 64 fury which I believe is original but without properly decoding fender tag it's only a guess at the moment. Real question pertains to the breakdown of fender tag options. Seems like this information isn't available or it's somewhere I'm overlooking. I own the production option code book, parts and casting book volume 1 and 2 and a copy of 1964 parts catalog.None of these contain the information for the entire tag. I did try to contact Mother mopar a few months ago and was told they were not going to be available as they were revamping their website. That said I'm still in the dark as to true items this came with from factory. Thanks in advance for any direction I can be pointed in. Keeping my fingers crossed I didn't pay big block money for a Granny Grocery Getter! Learned to drive on a 64 Sports Fury 318 auto that is long gone. This one will be a keeper.

Welcome from Indiana. Not a lot of info on the early B tags. How about some pictures?

Here ya go with some more pics. Had the Max exhaust manifolds that were cracked and leaking badly. Last remaining bolt by firewall would not come loose, resulting in engine removal. While its out I'm getting heads redone for today's unleaded fuel and that headed into a complete once over. I know in a few days just what shape it's in. 73,000 miles should be good to go but as I'm not sure of it's pedigree figure it's better to start at the beginning rather than chases issues later. Flooring has some ugly cuts that were made I'm assuming for access to tranny/quick change. Guessing it got raced at one point and shelved for some reason. That's where it's at at the moment. Engine bay will get new paint soon, and then on to clutch before reinstall. Not much of a computer chatter so may not get back anytime soon. Sunday night is beginning of my week as I'm a third shifter and sleep in the day. Hopefully someone can set me in the direction for information. Have a good day folks.

g'day from Australia :welcome: , suggest you ask your question in the general mopar or 62-65 areas , more people will see them there

Welcome to the site. Enjoy your 64. Would like to see more pictures too.

Nice looks like an original 426 streetwedge car 14 on fender tag for engine code (426) streetwedge.

Welcome to FBBO from SoCal. Best site on the net for b bodies.

Welcome and nice car! Chrysler Historical is back up and running since the first of the year. I got mine back really fast in January.

Welcome to FBBO from warm & dry :poke: {finally} NorCal

Had to head home early as they shut down the roads all across the state so I had a chance to read newest messages. Polara 426 mentions the 14 as being a 426 wedge. Thanks for the info. Can you or anybody else decipher the rest of the tag. So far all I have info on is the lowest section, body style, interior color, and Ruby red for paint. Clueless to what the rest of the tag says.I wanted to drive it as is for a bit then do a few small things along the way but it never goes quite to plan. Still has single suicide master, but stops on a dime. Flooring was removed but until I do the clutch and front seats, i won't get to see it unobstructed. Not sure what will be under carpet, and why they hacked areas in floor around tranny. May have been raced, or was an automatic???? Last two pics show weird configuration for clutch and possible repeated tie down wear from flatbed. Again I'm only guessing while trying to piece the history together. Off to bed so I can nap before tackling our March madness 24 inch snow storm today. I'm nearly out of photos worth sharing unless something specific would help in the investigation. It's only on jackstands at the moment so access is limited until the current project produces a movable vehicle. Have a good day and again thanks for any tidbits of knowledge.
