I'm looking for anyone who installed the Martz 4 link on a 68-70 b body with pictures and measurements? After talking Gary Martz, I think I have the front crossmember clamped correctly, but the rear crossmember doesn't come with any measurements to existing frame points. Hoping someone took pictures and measurements/tips of their install.
Tom

I have the Martz chassis on my car. I can give you any information and measurements you need. Its a good setup. They are very vague on how installs. The four link actually install pretty easy and it works well.I have put a few of them in.
Thanks,Joe

Here are a few of when i finished the install.I have there front suspension as well. I added a sway bar to my rear set up.
I Autocross my car and push the car to the limits and the suspension hold up other than I ripped the frame rail last season and had to re weld the pan hard bar support and add bracing.I really push the cars to the limits though.
Thanks,Joe

Thanks a million for the photos, more than I got from Gary Martz. I think the mounting location for the front mount is correct, but the back mount is the one I'm wondering about. Would it be ok to send pictures of the areas I'm unsure of ? Thank you in advance.
Tom

No problem. The Martz four link shock mount brace slides between the factory shock mount and floor pan above the tank bolt mounts.I will attach those pics of when I installed. I removed my factory shock mounts so any new pics I send the factory shock mount won't be in there for reference. The the welding tabs on the side of the Martz four link should somewhat follow the shape of the frame rail.I found that you need to tilt the the Martz upper shock mount bracket forward a little to get the shock bolts to fit smoother. This will require a little trimming with a 4" angle grinder on the bottom side of the welding plates. When you slide the Martz shock brace in between the factory shock support and floor pan you will line the bottom of the Martz shock support to the bottom of the factory shock support like in the photos. The factory shock bolt hole tabs will be below the Martz brace and the flat part of the factory brace and the flat part of the Martz brace should be even.
Ask as many questions as needed.
Thanks,Joe

Enlarge this photo and you will see the Martz brace behind the factory brace above the tank strap bolt mounts and even with the bottom of the factory brace.

Joe being helpful as always.

This has got to be the best aftermarket 4 link available given all 4 bars are of equal length.

I am really leaning torque arm but this design makes me think...

I snapped 4 pictures of my chassis. 2 of them show where I think the front mount should go, correct placement? The other pix are the shock mount ( rear) cross member. I cut out the old shock mount as per Martz and see yours is further back towards the tire/trunk well Do you possibly know the distance between the tank mount area and the back of rear crossmember. You said you used Martz for the front end stuff as well, could it be installed with a body shell on a rotisserie? Looked like lots of major surgery. Hope the pix are OK. Thanks for your help.

Agreed, I like this setup. Most other kits look flimsy but this one looks very rigid with large mounting pads to weld in. Hmmm, another one to consider.

You have the front crossmember in the right location and the rear crossmember looks correct as well. I will measure the distance for you tomorrow and post it with measurements to help. The front suspension does require a lot of cutting and welding. You would have to either brace the car on the rotisserie with screw jacks or take it off if you want to do there front suspension. You have to cut the frame rails. Here are pics of the front install. This will give you an Idea if you want to mess with it. I Think all the suspension companies for
Dodge/Plymouth have good products. I chose the Martz because its a weld in.I wanted a lot of bracing in the car.

Looks really good & beefy Average Joe, nice work, you have skills...

Thanks Budnicks, I really push the car to the limit when I do the autocross. I'm usually the only muscle car at the events well at least a
60's-70's muscle car and certainly the only guy out there with a 18 foot long 4000 pound car. This suspension holds up well. At the last event a week ago I ran a 46.5. There was a guy there with a 2016 Mclaren that ran a 42.5 (He was a total rich douche!!Had a nice car though)I was 5 seconds off the best time of the day which was set by a Porsche GT3. There where a few people getting but soar about my car running faster times. I love it!!!

Joe
Wondered if you had time to measure the distance from the back of the Martz rear cross member to the surface of the trunk area, or to any other common B Body frame points? Thanks for your help so far.

I think I have the rear crossmember set correctly, but would still like your input regarding the distance between the rear of the new crossmember and the front of the gas tank mounting area or any other point of measurement. I bought a 50"X 3" pipe to mimic a 3rd member and mock up the coil overs and the front 4 link bars. Where I set the rear xmember puts the coil overs aligned with the flat side of the pieces to be welded to the 3rd member. I'll snap a few pixs if this doesn't make sense?

From the bottom of the floor pan to the bottom of the Shock support is 4".From the trunk pan to the Brace is 3/4" and the brace is touching the tank strap mounts. Hopefully this helps. The pics are not going to be that great. Its hard to get under the car do to it being so low.LOL
Thanks,Joe
