I bought a big box of wire harnesses recently from a Mopar guy that was cleaning out his garage. He had a 1965 Coronet and I was wondering if this harness (pics below) came from a 1965 B Body, mainly a Coronet. And it appears to be the light forward harness. Seems to be in real good condition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Appears to be. If you have your old one, compare the two, for wires and length.

I don't have one to compare it with, that's why I posted the question. Never had a 1965 B Body. I inherited this harness from buying a whole mess of harnesses mainly to gain the 68-69 B Body ones that I knew were in the box. I'm trying to decipher which ones that I have that I don't recognize.

Thanks

Understand. Only ways I know of, is if the harness has the part no. tag on it. Maybe, if you have wiring diagrams for the car, you can compare wire 'colors', for each wire, but that would be a shot in the dark. From year to year, they seem to vary some. Then again, see if the harness will actually fit the car. Still need to check each wire, to see if they match with the correct ones on the firewall block.

Yea that makes since. Hopefully a 1965 expert will weigh in. If you're around certain harnesses a majority of the time they stick out to you.

After looking at several different wiring diagrams on MyMopar ( http://www.mymopar.com/index.php?pid=24 ), it would appear that the harness is for a 64 & 65 Plymouth & Dodge, (Belvedere, Fury, Coronet, Polara) like you thought. Those drawings show the same numbers of used pins in the same order and what appears to be close to the same colors. They also show the other plugs such as the turn signal plugs and the wiper motor plug. The harness looks to be in great shape.

It's going to depend on which model car, since after looking again, that harness is for a four headlight car. Year looks about right, though. Also add, in case you don't know, the two white wire lead with a ring connection...is the headlight ground. There will be a spot on the backside of the radiator support, it gets fastened to.

Thanks. Yea I figured it was a 4 headlight car. Two connectors with 3 prong receptacles and 2 connectors with 2 prong receptacles. 3 prong low beams? 2 prong high beams? The 2 "T" connectors I assume are for the parking lights? And as you pointed out the double white wires w/ring terminal is the ground. Now how about the single brown wire? Accessory?

Thanks

Single brown wire...runs about halfway down the driver's side wheel well. It's the power supply for the washer pump, that mounts there.
