As fare as I know there is only one style for the 67 gtx 440Did you find out what the two styles were?
Did the late 67s come with in-silenced air cleaner maybe ? That's what came on the 68s. I didn't know the duel snorkel for 67 came in two heights. Wander why they did that ?Well, there's the dual snorkel version. But I have seem two different heights for those,
And I've seen a very select few have in-silenced air cleaners. I'm just referring to the 440s.

MY dad has a 68 440 4spd GTX. He has owned since 72. It has the unsilenced air cleaner. He also has a 67 440 auto GTX. It is an all numbers match original car. It has the duel air cleaner & is wrinkle finish. Now my dad bought a 67 440 4spd GTX new in 67 & if his memory is right it had the same air cleaner as the auto. GTX.I saw an old article that said four speed cars got the unsilenced air cleaner. But I think that is mentioned with an asterisk. If a car was sold in/near California, this may not have applied, and the car would have gotten an air cleaner that had the breather connected to it.
In terms of the height, I am just as confused. My Dad's 67 has a taller air cleaner than mine.
Now the paint finish is a bit more nailed down. I've heard Plymouth's were gloss black, while Dodge's were more crinkle finish. But this has also been up for debate, and I've heard it chalked up to factory locations/outside vendors.
