Hey guys,

New member from Southwest Ontario, Canada

Finally signing up after just reading for many years. In the next year or two I'll be looking for a roller project. The hope is to find a decent B body roller that's not been too heavily modded yet and slowly but surely get a modern 392 hemi into one at the end.

When I was quite a bit younger I had found and purchased a straight, unmolested '68 Charger original 318 column shift AC car but never had the money or motivation and I had to let it go.

10 years later, I'm still crying in my sleep over that car. However, life is progressing and I'm at the point where I think a project in the next year or so would be a realistic purchase. So I thought it's time to register here and get a handle on what's still available out there and at what price.

I'd be looking for something straight and uncrashed. I can do nuts and bolts, swap engines rear ends etc etc but I'm not a body guy nor an artist.

Looking forward to seeing what's out there and slowly chatting and asking questions, it looks like there's still more out there than I thought! Which is a good sign.

Welcome aboard and thanks for joining the forum!
Hmm, 68s are a G-R-E-A-T body style...
You either LOVE or dis-like that rear end...(I love them)

Anyway, welcome and thanks again for joining!

Thanks for the welcome everyone, good to see active friendly members here.

I've already seen a couple locals post and had offers to help with my project car I don't even have yet!.. Already happy I bothered to make a post, looking forward to seeing pics of all the B bodies out there.

Thanks for the welcome! Some of the cars I prefer '68 - The Charger being the main one with those sexy round tails. When I first brought that car home it had butchered unfinished lower quarter skins with brutal welding, still the faded very scratched orange paint and remains of the old white vinyl top. I tore the front and the interior off and out of the car but just couldn't manage to pull those tail lights out. Would stare at the unfinished rear end of that '68 Charger and drool either way.

However for Coronets and Bees for some reason I like 69. Although it may just be the font that sways my mind on those cars...

Anyway, Chrysler definitely was nailing the bodies on the B platform around that time. Some of the most gorgeous cars I've ever seen.

welcome from London ont

Hey thanks, I'm actually also in London. Good to see some very close members here.

Welcome aboard.

Deals are still out there to be had although 68-70 seam to bring a good price regardless of condition. Your best bet is to put the word out locally and keep your eyes peeled whenever you travel, people think they're all gold mines now.
I got tipped off recently simply because people know I love classic Mopars and ended up bringing home a complete, running, solid 72 Satellite for $3,800. This car needs almost no rust repair and a paint job to be a cruiser so they're still out there.
