Update: On 4/4/17 I had this tested at my local Advance Auto Parts and it tested as GOOD. Unfortunately I can't prove that 'cause they didn't have their test machine connected to a printer. Next time I'll take my cell into the store so I can take a pic of the screen.

Could u have it tested at say O'Reilly's or Auto Zone ?

Very good question / point, Chilsam, thank you. O'Reilly's aren't in Maryland at all and the closest Auto Zone is about 30 minutes away in a direction I don't normally travel.

I do have an Advance Auto Parts store on my way home from work though. I know that they'll read 'Check Engine' codes for free so I'll give them a call on Monday and see if they test alternators that are off of the vehicle.

Are you interested if this alt tests good?

The one in my hometown will do it for free thats what brought it to mind...
