Hi!
I have a 65 Belvedere with a 70 440 in it ! Been sitting

idle for some unknown time. The Mallory /Jacobs setup ( cracked, broken, wires deteriorating ) that was in it - Distributor, wires, coil ( that looks about as big as an MSD box, ) and the equivalent of an MSD cap discharge are coming out to be replaced by an MSD ready to run distributor and an MSD Blaster 2 coil, along with MSD wires ... all new .

No MSD 6 box, etc. If this RTR craps out... then I'll look at another brand but for now that's it. ( Yes, I have heard, too late, that MSD has had some quality issues...something about electronics in China or something. I know that there have been some MSD 6 boxes that were Chinese knock offs made to look like MSD boxes . MSD issued an alert.

Back to the main subject. Intend to run some new ( NOS ) Champion RJ12YC plugs. In reading thru forums I see that folks are still running them with success.

So what would be the recommended plug gap taking into account all of the above ?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards, Ted

Love that Jacobs System, Now known as MSD !
Wow ! Was not aware that Jacobs and MSD were one and the same . My research showed MSD as originating and still being in El Paso, Tx. founded by a could of aerospace engineers.
