I used the search and couldn't find the info.
I was wondering if anyone has changed the front spindles to the nev version where the hub bolts onto the spindle so. This would allow the use of newer brake systems and newer wheel setups.

I hope I explained what I was thinking. I will attach pictures tomorrow to help the visual.

Thanks

You can buy just the hubs from wilwood but I don't know that they would take any other kind of brakes

So what you are looking for is a modern design that uses an "up right" instead of a spindle knuckle. Similar to what you find on modern GM and Mopar where the hub bolts into the up right correct? Unfortunately at this time I do not know of any vendors making a replacement up right and hub for vintage B bodies. But wilwood does have some nice bolt on options for the stock spindle.

Thanks
James

I think a wilwood kit is as about close as you're going to get, nice front set ups with alloy hub. I have wilwood on the front and rear.

Is there a reasoning behind this? Not being smart but there's plenty of brake options for our cars, the old adjustable tapered bearing last forever and the modern rims have no dish? I've always disliked the modern setup, seams like it was done more to speed up production than anything else.

Here is a b body dual bolt pattern wilwood hub part number and reference pic, again I'm sure only wilwood hats fit these hubs

I think I understand the question. Some FWD Mopar cars used a bolt on hub and the C5 and later Corvette uses a bolt on hub. Other then some using the Corvette hub and a spindle designed for it(GM A body) no one makes one for a Mopar spindle, THAT I KNOW OF.

You all have hit it. I was looking at brakes, rim set up, and the long spindle that modern wheels do not support. I think I am just going to wilwood when I get back to that part of the build. I have found some other rust issues that slowed me down.
