bought one and do they not come with the metal springs inside them anymore? thanks

Ya, I've noticed that I have to reuse my old springs. Although I've never had any springs in my gtx and haven't noticed any collapsing of the hose.

do you know at which end the spring was at? thanks

Get a 36" stick of 3/32" stainless steel TIG welding rod and the handle on a push broom.

Use a pair of needle-nose pliers to twist a small loop on each end of the TIG rod(this will keep the ends from digging into the hose once it is installed).

Wind the TIG rod around the broom handle, use the entire length of the rod. This will make a spring that is just right in size and length.

10 minutes of effort plus whatever the TIG rod costs and you're done.

Tig rod as Rick said, it'll outlast you and the car.

sorry, would that be at radiator or eng side? thanks

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean.

The spring would fit into the lower hose the goes from the lower inlet on the radiator to the lower opening on the water pump.

I think you mean how long? About 4" shorter than length of hose and centered up.
