The gas tank sits upright in the drivers 1/4 panel. I'm not sure why those straps under the spare well is for?

Depends on if and how bad you want a wagon! Looks like it going to be needing some serious metal work, besides the obvious spots!

Probably to keep the spare from falling through the rusted out tire well...

If you need a spare tire well . . . look at what I cut out of my Belvedere . . . it's sitting at the house collecting dust . . .

That is . . . if a B-body tire well will fit in the Dart Wagon . . .

Can I ask why you cut it out? Just curious.

Sure thing . . .
With my rear narrowed 3" each side, and the springs relocated, I'm going to need someplace to run my exhaust - so out it came . . .

Plus the end result in the trunk looks pretty cool too . . .

Hard to find anything over 50 years that don't have some sort of cancer. Another place to look is under the dash upper inner cowl. Most guys patch the outer cowl but the inner looks like Swiss Cheese. If you can work the deal to your benefit.Go for it. You and I are kinda alike,,Always looking for the next adventure....

I see helper springs and a rusty spare tire well, no big deal.
How's the interior, headliner, etc?
Is it a 9 passenger?
