Dont know about the 300 IRS, but the IRS in a sub-frame for a Lincoln MK Vlll is a beautiful candidate for a swap...rear track of a B bod is 59" & the lincoln is 60" The sub-frame has 4 main mounting pads....pretty painless.Has any one heard of installing a complete rear suspension from a Chrysler 300 into a 1973 b body or if it can even be done?
My Homie here has a 96 mk vlll that somebody killed the 4.6 on, overheated it & ran it til it quit. Shame, i like those 4.6 motors. Ive got two projects before i can think about getting a 68 Coro, but i'll do the mk vlll swap if i get one. Yeah, Ford made location pretty straight forward....nice package.I just recently saw one of those at a U-pull, and thought the same thing.
The fomoco engineers already did 90% of the work for you of retro-fitting an IRS into a "full size" full framed car that really wasn't designed for one..
Welcome to FBBOI appreciate it guys. Been outside all day tearing my son 73 roadrunner down it been a great father son day
No sorry.Got any more pics of how that guy installed it in his cuda. That looks pretty sweet. I was asking because we have a 73 roadrunner shell we have been playing with . And bought a wrecked 300. Pulling everything out the 300. Thought we could do a resto of a roadrunner but all modern like a 300. Something a bit safer for him to drive
