Hey there fellow Mopar individuals just curious how many of you out there have a street strip combination that you run that either has a procharger or a turbo on it I'm looking for replies that have 426 Hemi or a 440 or a 400 block if you have one post what your combination setup is what's the horsepower the torque and have you ran it at the track how did it do

My son runs 76mm turbo 360, E85 carb, no intercooler, 62 Plymouth, 3775lbs, 3.55 gear. It been 9.52@142 in street trim. Drives anywhere.

Still has stock block, stock cast crank. Stock hyd roller lifters (non Magnum). Previously it had 3.23, stock rods , reground stock cam, stock head castings. Never hurt a rod. Went 9.9@134.

Wow...

Depends on how deep you want to go. Procharger wins on the install side just bolt it all on and go. Turbo much more fab work and making things fit...both have their plus sides in power. Check out torqstorm setups, way cheaper than procharger. The super charger store can sell you the whole kit from fuel to carb but it's like 7800 bucks! Turbo I would run a remote mount to keep less clutter and heat in the engine bay also works well if you don't want an inter cooler.

Hey Doug has your son come any closer to putting together a kit like he was talking about last year? Lost touch with him, his life was getting kinda busy from what I remember.

Ya, life is in the way. He's getting his Masters degree right now. The prototype is in a car and will be tested this Summer

I installed a ProCharger on my last street vehicle. I was very impressed with the complete kit, including the intercooler, and the quality of the parts and the instructions. There were NO trips to the parts house to make it work. Awesome way to add lots of horsepower without getting into the engine.

Not Mopar related but my buddy has a Fox body with a STOCK 5.3l LS truck engine that is turbo'd. His best time is 5.45 in the 1/8th and something like mid 8's in the 1/4, while the rods were bending. haha

I think it did like 950 wheel HP or something.

Here's my buddy Rob at his first test & tune with his F1X Procharged RB Block with FAST EFI. still on leaf springs not too shabby for first time out

I have a D1X going on my 522. since the only option is to modify SBC brackets I put money into having brackets built specifically for Mopar. The ones I have now are fine for P1 or D1 but I need to get my hands on an F series to modify the design for them

I have two 106MM Turbos at home still waiting on the budget to build the next all aluminum Keith Black Hemi turbo build. For now I have my little 528" Hemi with two NOS Foggers to hold me over.

Are you planning to front mount the turbos or remote? Staying with t-bars or aftermarket front suspension?

Enquiring minds want to know!
