I have a Clear Title which I AM selling, along with the drive train and other (in as condition) parts for a 1970 (V Code) Plymouth Superbird. I am selling it at a starting price of $12000.00.... The color of the car was FY5 Yellow automatic floor shifter with a 8, 3/4 rear. The six pack carbs were destroyed and not saved, but the manifold is still available. It currently has a 4bbl carb. and intake manifold on it now. What is available is the "Title" and parts if you want them. The title alone (to some) is worth more than the asking price, so therefore the Sale is specifically for the Title. The car was in such bad shape that I simply took all that was good off of it. The exhaust and transmission are still attached. It was a registered Superbird in 1976. I am no longer interested in restoring the car at this point. This is a 440 V Code six Pack car for someone who is looking far a real project car,Vin# RM23VOA?????? The cars' build number is #482 according to a source of info. My contact is elisajah @ aol.com and I will check on any responses through the week and get back with people on an availability bases for personal reasons.

So.... what goods the title. If you were take a satty or runner and tribute it... even with this Sbird title and vin... it would still be a fraud to sell as a real bird, wouldn't it?

In the US, you are committing felony VIN fraud by having removed the VIN from the scrapped vehicle and offering it up for sale. Seriously, I'd recommend removing this ad and moving on.

Oh -

I hope I'm not causing trouble for anyone by linking to this ad. Did you mean I should delete this post or the guy who has the Craigslist ad should pull his ?

Not to worry - if it's not your advert - thanks for sharing - we like to see this stuff here.

Maybe this guy would be better off if he just sold the nice parts. I would imagine and original nose cone assembly would be very desireable item. Wonder if he pulled any of the unique brackets too ...

I'm still perplexed on the title. If the car was scrapped, the title would be void.
What good is a title without a car?

He should of left it the hell alone and called a real mopar guy anyone would of payed $12000+ for a superbird in any condition I would of been all over it but now that we're playing with felony charges he's on his own dumb ***! How do people like this get these cars ?

I am so pleased this advert has been brought to everyone's attention....hopefully we can keep a track of any further progress with this car, and prevent it being resurrected one day and crossing the BJ floor. Anyone local want to check out the parts in person?

BTW, normally this type of advert would be parked in GENERAL, however, I feel it is important enough to leave it in the Daytona-Superbird Forum for future reference.

Yes, I thought about the GENERAL forum but changed my mind when I saw there was a specific forum for winged cars. I will never be able to own a winged car, but I sure do love them. Hopefully someone can make good use of these parts.

Maybe someone can get the actual VIN to check authenticity. A Superbird with what looks to me like a blue/turquoise engine ?

What's sad is I know this car. Back in the early 90s it belonged to a big time Mopar guy who used to live along RT 40 to the west of Baltimore. I was driving down the highway one Fall after the leaves had fallen, and I saw this Superbird sitting half out of a garage, so I swung around to go check it out. He had that 440-6 Bird, a couple of 69 Roadrunners, some Cudas, and a bunch of A bodies on his property.

Problem was he didn't look like he had two dimes to rub together, and it seemed to me like most of the cars were never going to be gotten to. He said the Superbird wasn't for sale, but he would sell me two 340 Demons for $500. :) The engine was out of the Superbird when I saw it, and it had those valve covers and the intake/carbs were all there. He had just pulled the engine and was going to have it rebuilt, but I'm guessing he never did. :(

if i saw a wing in the pics.
i would be emailing him..lol
