...... in his 340 Dart, 2 hours each way with a 3.91 gear...... I sent him home with a 3.23 to test out

Al did an A+ job on his build........ I did the body/paint thing 3 years ago, he did the rest....you may have seen it on FABO

the car is right and tight, not a rattle........ truly a pleasure to drive

That's one sweet ride. You did a beautiful job on the body and paint. I'm sure the rest of the car lives up to it.
 
I was gonna sit the dog on his hood for a photo op, but was advised against it :rolleyes:
 
beautiful day today. I wheeled this baby around town for about 1/2 an hour, I could have driven this thing all day...... very comfortable, very tight, runs perfect, easy to drive

 
Sound like a great car and best thing is... he drives it.
 
I have to admit, I have a soft spot for A bodies too. I turned down a true RUST FREE post Valiant 2 yrs ago at the Vegas show- it haunts me yet.
That GTS is gorgeous!!

I had one just like it,B-5 etc. (wife's).....only difference 383....TF / 3.55 grocery getter ...

at the same time I had a 1970 340 / 4 speed/ 3.91 's "Tuned"

the 340 would smoke it..:steering:

I suppose we can't all be Mr. America :icon_fU:...... it's B5, but I remember tinting the **** out of it to get it to match a piece of the original; so I guess it my own version........I kept a copy of the formula
 
Sounds like a strong running engine, and it's a beautiful car. I'm sure your friend has a big smile when he drives around. :thumbsup:
BTW, wheelbarrows were made for getting dirty. :lol:
 
Nice!! Had a 67 in the mid 70's then bought my girl friend a 69. Got the 69 cheap based on having to fix a rear main seal leak but it turned out to be the oil sender so that turned out to be a sweet deal! It was just a 318 car with AC, PS but it ran pretty decent and would do the one wheel peel with a ton of smoke.
