Gas cap question

So my first b body arrived Saturday. 69' Satellite Roadrunner A12 clone.

The gas tank cap is non vented. Is this normal? Just making sure before I top it off.

Yep normal... They used vent lines for pressure release

Make sure you have the proper vent tubes. Make sure they're not clogged.

I'd check to see if your tank has a vent and if it does leave it alone. I believe they were vented caps from the factory.

'62 guy here.

A little history, this is how they vented the tank in 1962. No vent lines, no vented cap, (blue arrow)

A vented cap on these models is asking for fuel puke when it's sloshes to the back if you ask me...

Look in the trunk, on the shelf behind the spare tire. You'll see the loop in the vent lines there (the portion in the upper right of this diagram).
