folks, anyone know what the backspacing is for this model or an accurate way on how to measure it. i had previously gleaned 4.5" from the forum in the past, but need to verify. my ET Street R tires sized P255/60-15 fit on one side but not the other, so i'm considering if i can get wheels with additional backspacing to help resolve the issue.

best, Paul.

I had 26-11.5-15 on my 67 with 5.5" backspacing. No rubbing and didn't roll fender lips

hmmm.....it really looks like i maybe able to increase my backspacing, see attached. i do think that '66 has less room than the 67's. i will need to take the wheel off and measure from the front of the drum faceplate up to the leaf springs and interior wheel well.

Measure twice, order once.

Its $80 @ Jegs but cheaper than buying 2 wheels or tires

well for me, this will be 'measured twice, ordered twice' :icon_fU: someone has to keep the economy going.

thanks Mike67, that's a cool tool i think i will have to get that.

I have a '67 Coronet and am using 8.5" CenterLine Autodrags with 4-7/8" backspacing and a 255/70/15" tire. It fits with no rubbing (just missing by a few sheets of paper in thickness :)). I also use Poly bushings in the leaf springs so that helps as well.

I'm running year one rallyes 17x8 with 4.25 of backspacing, 275/60 tire it's super tight to the fender but I have room on the inside.
