66 Satellite Hemi Identification

New to this site, have an opportunity to view a 66 Satellite hemi convertible this coming week end. The owner is an older gentleman, that no longer has time or energy. Question is, is the vin numbers the same as 66-67 Charger vins, H code for 66 and J code for 67. And is there anything to look for on the fender tag, if it still exists. Car is an automatic, 8 3/4 rear I would assume, and the car is triple black.

Not sure about the numbers but from memory the 66 Hemi cars used a unique mounting plate on the driver side fender well under the hood for mounting the starter relay, etc. I think this went away in 67.

Yes, the numbers are the same on other models, H for 66 and J for 67.

That is correct. It would also have the boxed in reinforcements for the front spring perches & skid plate on the K-frame

Also, will have the starter relay bracket on the driver inner fender in pics above
 
If it doesn't have the fender tag and so number can't be verified I feel it needs further documentation to bring top dollar.
 
Would be interested to see pictures. If it has a fender tag on the radiator support under the anti-freeze there are numbers that match fender tag. That is if he'll let you remove sticker, if it a real nice you may not want to remove it survivor? Under back seat build sheet I found a second under the carpet driver's seat.

One last Hemi trademark...The Engine Wiring harness that runs along the passenger side valve cover, has a male/female modular plug in the harness just below #6 plug wire to ease valve cover removal. That is unique to Hemi's.

Under the AB on the fender tag will be 73 for Hemi.

Wouldn't it have the torque boxes even if it wasn't a Hemi car because it's a drop top? Skid plate would be Hemi only, though.
